Post uno- The Y Question.

Having my own blog and posting ’em was never top of my priority list. Heck, it wasn’t even on the list. So why the sudden decision to start, one may ask?

Well, for starters, this one is gonna be about my Machine Learning Experiences, more than anything else. It could be a good way to update my progress periodically and see how far I have come, later on in my life. It could also be a good documentation of sorts for myself whenever I am at a cul-de-sac, metaphorically speaking.

I usually get tired of these “experiences” soon after they lose their novelty. So might as well get one more proof of that, if that’d be the case here as well. Also, english isn’t exactly my mode of communication in daily life conversations either. So maybe this could be a good practice for improving that as well, now that I am preparing for the GRE as well.

These seem to be my top reasons for now. And then there’s ML. This seems to be their epoch, and it seems to be the buzzword of the 21st century, at least in the computing domains. It’s heyday for data scientists as well. So why not just dig into it and see what’s all the hype about.

All in all,I hope for this to be more than just a transitory experience. One that I hope I didn’t start on a whim. It’s a long and arduous journey into the deep trenches of data, and I hope I come out unscathed, or at least, much more erudite on the other side.

Happy Reading.

PS: I am new to this sort of writing. I don’t know exactly if I should be writing to myself in the 3rd person, or if to consider the possibility of another human being reading this. So there might be some discrepancies regarding that in the first few posts. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

PPS: I am also open to any and all suggestions in my posts. All forms of feedback is acceptable and much appreciated. Learning is the main idea here, even(especially) from my mistakes.
